MD mil PKU-0 is a specially developed medical formula for children of up to 12 months of age. It contains essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals.

MD mil PKU-0 is used as the main source of protein in a specialized diet of patients with fenicketonuria of children of the first year of life under the strict supervision of a physician.

DESCRIPTION: MD mil PKU-0 contains a balance of essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals. It is intended to be the primary source of protein in children with phenylketonuria aged 0-1 on a specialised diet under the strict supervision of a doctor.

PKU-0 is intended to be used in conjunction with either formula or breastmilk: The amount required will vary from child to child and will be directed by the supervising doctor.

INGREDIENTS: Ingredients of MD mil PKU-0: Amino acids (L-leucine, L-tyrosine, L-glutamine, L-aspartic acid, L-proline, L-lysine, L-valine, L-arginine, L-glutamic acid, L-isoleucine, L-threonine, L-serine, L-glycine, L-alanine, L-histidine, L-cysteine, L-tryptophan, L-methionine), Sucrose, Maltodextrin, Hydrolyzed cornstarch, Vegetable oil (palm, coconut, sunflower and rapeseed), Minerals, Citric acid esters of mono - and diglycerides of fatty acids, Vitamins, Soy lecithin, Choline, Taurine, Inositol, Carnitine.

MD mil PKU-0 is a hypoallergenic alternative to breast milk. Daily dosage is strictly individual and prescribed by the doctor based on factors such as the age, body weight and physical development of a particular child.

MD mil PKU-0 is enriched with:

* linoleic (ω — 6) and α–linolenic (ω – 3) fatty acids that influence the development of baby’s brain structure and the child’s intellectual abilities;

* tyrosine: a conditionally essential amino acid in phenylketonuria;

* inositol: acts as a growth factor;

* taurine: the amino acid vital for cardiovascular development and function, as well as the formation and development of skeletal muscle, the central nervous system and the retina;

* selenium: contributes to a complete formation of the antioxidant system, bone and cartilage tissues as well as muscle structures of the heart;

* iodine: provides additional stimulation for the child's intellectual development;

* glutamine and arginine: both have an immunomodulatory effect;

* L-carnitine: involved in energy metabolism and transport of fatty acids.

Important: The amount of MD mil PKU-0 formula and the dilution ratio should only be prescribed by a doctor. The recommended daily dose of MD mil PKU-0 depends on the patient's condition, age, body weight and individual protein requirements. The amount of the formula is calculated based on the normal parameters of growth and development of a patient.

1. Wash your hands. Sterilise the bottle, teat and cap by boiling them for at least five minutes before use.

2. Boil a pan of water for at least 5 minutes and then allow it to cool to approximately 40°C. Pour the required amount into a sterilised bottle.

3. Add one full scoop (4.3 g) of powder for every 30 ml of water. Do not press the dry formula down. The recommended powder-water ratio is 13% to 87%.

4. Replace the bottle cap and shake well until the powder is fully dissolved. Before feeding, check the temperature of the formula on the inside of the forearm.

If using infant formula:

5. Dissolve the formula in another bottle according to the instructions on the label in the amount specified by your doctor. Mix the two solutions together.

If using breastmilk:

6. Add the amount of breastmilk directed by your doctor to the prepared PKU-0. Mix the two solutions together.

Important: Any unused mixture should be discarded and NOT kept for future use.
