MD mil PKU MAXI is high in protein and requires a relatively small amount of mixture per serving. It also has excellent tolerance as a result of its low osmolarity.

It is fat-free and has a low carbohydrate content. This means it can help to support a more varied diet made up of a wide range of commonly consumed foodstuffs.

DESCRIPTION: A medical food for children and adults over one year of age with phenylketonuria. PKU-Maxi comes in the form of a powder designed to be mixed with water. It contains a scientifically formulated balance of amino acids, vitamins and minerals.

INGREDIENTS: Amino acids (L-leucine, L-tyrosine, L-glutamic acid, L-aspartic acid, L-proline, L-valine, L-arginine, L-isoleucine, L-threonine, L-serine, L-glycine, L- alanine, L-cysteine, L-methionine, L-histidine, L-tryptophan, L-glutamate sodium, L-lysine), minerals (dicalcium phosphate, dicalcium phosphate, monocalcium phosphate, monopotassium phosphate, iron sulfate, zinc sulfate, copper sulfate, manganese sulfate, potassium iodide, sodium selenite, chromium chloride, sodium molybdate), maltodextrin, vitamins (C, E, niacin, pantothenic acid, B1, B6, A, B2, folic acid, K, biotin, D and B12), choline bitart rat, L-carnitine.

MD mil PKU-0 is a hypoallergenic alternative to breast milk. Daily dosage is strictly individual and prescribed by the doctor based on factors such as the age, body weight and physical development of a particular child. MD mil PKU-0 is enriched with:

* tyrosine: a conditionally essential amino acid in phenylketonuria;

* inositol: acts as a growth factor;

* selenium: contributes to a complete formation of the antioxidant system, bone and cartilage tissues as well as muscle structures of the heart;

* iodine: provides additional stimulation for the child's intellectual development;

* glutamine and arginine: both have an immunomodulatory effect;

* L-carnitine: involved in energy metabolism and transport of fatty acids.

Important: The amount of MD mil PKU-MAXI to be taken, and the dilution ratio, must be determined by a doctor. The recommended daily dose will vary from patient to patient depending on factors such as their age, body weight and individual protein requirements. MD mil PKU-MAXI is normally taken 3-4 times a day.

1. Boil the required amount of water. Allow it to cool to 40º C;

2.A level spoonful of dry powder contains 5.1 g of the product. Do not press the powder down in the spoon when measuring the dose;

3. Add a small amount of water to the powder to create a dense, thick mixture. Then gradually add water to the ratio of 36 g of MD mil PKU MAXI per 500 ml of water;

4. MD mil PKU MAXI can be taken as a shake-type drink and mixed with water or other drinks, such as fruit juices.
