MD mil PKU-1 is an instant, flavoured, phenylalanine-free formula designed for children aged between 1 and 4 years. MD mil PKU-1 contains a carefully formulated balance of amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and fats.

DESCRIPTION: MD mil PKU-1 is an instant, fruit-flavoured dry formula containing amino acids without phenylalanine. It is intended for children aged between 1 and 4 years with phenylketonuria. MD mil PKU-1 contains a balance of essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals.

MD mil PKU-1 is used as a primary source of protein in patients with phenylketonuria on a specialised diet under the strict supervision of a doctor. The daily dose of the medical product is individual and should be prescribed by the doctor based on the age and physical development of a child.

MD mil PKU-1 has an enhanced flavour and is carefully formulated to keep phenylalanine levels under control.

MD mil PKU-1 promotes both the physical and psychomotor development of children with phenylketonuria. The product is enriched with L-carnitine, taurine, inositol, choline (acting at the cellular level), contains glutamine and arginine (which has an immunomodulatory effect). MD mil PKU-1 is consumed as a solid meal and can be washed down with water or another drink.

INGREDIENTS: Amino acids (L-glutamic acid, L-aspartic acid, L-leucine, L-valine, L-serine, L-isoleucine, L-threonine, L-alanine, L-histidine, L-lysine, L-tryptophan, L-arginine, L-tyrosine, L-methionine, L-cysteine, L-proline, L-glycine), maltodextrin, sucrose, hydrolyzed corn starch, vegetable oil (palm, coconut, sunflower and rapeseed), minerals, citric acid esters of mono - and diglycerides of fatty acids, vitamins, soy lecithin, choline, taurine, inositol, carnitine, natural fruit component (apple).

MD mil PKU-0 is a hypoallergenic alternative to breast milk. Daily dosage is strictly individual and prescribed by the doctor based on factors such as the age, body weight and physical development of a particular child. MD mil PKU-0 is enriched with:

* linoleic (ω — 6) and α–linolenic (ω – 3) fatty acids that influence the development of baby’s brain structure and the child’s intellectual abilities;

* tyrosine: a conditionally essential amino acid in phenylketonuria;

* inositol: acts as a growth factor;

* taurine: the amino acid vital for cardiovascular development and function, as well as the formation and development of skeletal muscle, the central nervous system and the retina;

* selenium: contributes to a complete formation of the antioxidant system, bone and cartilage tissues as well as muscle structures of the heart;

* iodine: provides additional stimulation for the child's intellectual development;

* glutamine and arginine: both have an immunomodulatory effect;

* L-carnitine: involved in energy metabolism and transport of fatty acids.

Important: The amount of formula to be taken and its dilution ratio should always be prescribed by a doctor.

Always remember to follow the correct recommendations when diluting the dry treatment formula with water to avoid dyspeptic disorders in your child. The dilution method for MD mil PKU-1 is specified in the table on the can.

A level spoonful of dry powder contains 3.6 g of MD mil-1. Do not press the powder down.

1. Boil a pan of water for 5 minutes and then allow it to cool to 40°C;

2. Dissolve the requisite amount of dry product in a small amount of water, then add the remaining water;

3. Shake the prepared mixture well before use.

Note: Any unused mixture should be discarded and NOT kept for future use.
